The LGPD – General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018 amended by Law 13.853/2019), is an important regulatory milestone in Brazil, establishing principles, rights, and responsibilities for the processing of personal data.

• Confirmation: The data subject has the right to confirm whether their data is being processed by companies.
• Access: The data subject can access their personal data.
• Rectification or correction of data: The data subject can request the correction of their personal data if they consider it incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated.
• Deletion, blocking, or anonymization: The data subject can request the total or partial deletion, anonymization, or blocking of their data if it is being processed excessively, unnecessarily, or unlawfully.
• Portability: The data subject can request the portability of their data to another company.
• Review of decisions: The data subject has the right to request a review of decisions made solely based on automated processing of personal data that affect their interests, such as credit decisions.
• Information: The data subject has the right to request information about the processing of their data.
